Each evening we have a curfew on the beach at 10PM. Hold tight though! Simply because the beach is closed, doesn’t mean we need to stop the music or the party! Just 4 blocks from the beach is the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara where West Beach Festival will host from 10PM-2AM each evening multiple live music and electro/night club after shows and parties!
**Scratch this note into your brain: IN and OUT privileges will be available from gate times until 7PM each evening. Allowing you to party in your board shorts and bikinis while the sun is high in the sky – then head home or to the hotel to grab a change of clothes before the big show! You'll grab a wristband on the way out if you'd like to go and then come back. If you leave after 7pm - you can't get back in for the day. =(

Where should I stay? Do you have hotel packages?

Hotel, Camping, Friend's Couch, RV?? You've got plenty of decisions to make - and hopefully we'll help you make the best one for you!!
Here's a list of hotels excited to be working with the West Beach Festival. Both Hotel Oceana and Fess Parker's Doubletree have provided West Beach discounts! We've also compiled a list of hotels in the immediate proximity of the festival - some being right across the street! So, you could say, we are pretty excited too! =)
Need more suggestions? Our friends over at Santa Barbara Convention and Visitor's Bureau would love to assist you! Head to their website for more info, and don't hesitate to get in touch with them. That's what they love to do!

Once I get there.. I need..
My tummy is rumbling and it’s not from the speakers!
The festival features a wide variety of food options – from Health Nut to Festival Food Junkie to Seafood Lover and back around to keeping the kids happy! – We have some of the best food exhibitors in the nation working at the festival (and who’s to blame them when they get to work on the beach listening to music!).
We work closely with the food exhibitors to keep pricing down for the fans! On average – a quality, fulfilling and healthy meal on the beach – is gonna run you eight $1 dollar bills (or one $8 dollar bill).

Where do I park? I've got no other choice but to bring my car...
So if you're bringing your car - you're carpooling right?! =)
Parking is very impacted and limited at the waterfront. We highly suggest alternative transportation. If you need to park your vehicle, we suggest the Downtown City lots. They are well lit, safe, and reasonable on the cost, and just a couple blocks to the beach!
Check out the locations here.

Is there camping on WEST beach?
.png)
Unfortunately, camping is not allowed on West Beach. West Beach isn't the ideal beach to camp on because of its location right in the heart of Santa Barbara's beautiful waterfront. So... we've got some options for ya! Our friends over at SantaBarbara.com have a nice list of available campsites.
Remember, parking is extremely limited, and if you're headed back to a campsite after the fest - we suggest you park in a Downtown Parking Lot.

So what's the deal with RV's? Where can I park mine?
Thinking about packing up the Winnebago and grabbing your friends for a road trip? Well get your butt in gear! The City of Santa Barbara has a great site highlighting RV use in Santa Barbara. Check out the resources and more info here!

- Styrofoam is outlawed on the beach.
- Food vendors are encouraged to buy local and organic.
- Recyclable and compostable utensils, plates, and cups will be used.
Food scraps will be composted and donated to a local industry.
- We have discouraged the use of plastic water bottles and use a bottle made from a biopolymer, which is 100% renewable and biodegrades in 60-90 days.
- Our generators are run on biodiesel.
- West Beach Festival will have a Green Team to ensure recyclables are not contaminated with trash and to educate the public.
- A number of non-profits will be present to educate concert goers on environmental issues and ways to get involved.
If you have any questions on our greening measures or would like to provide insight or feedback contact our environmental coordinator, Cash Upton, at cash@berkeley.edu
